If you know me you know I LOVE snacking! You’ll often find me looking in the different drawers, trying to find something to snack on. However, junk foods like potato chips, soda, sugar loaded cookies, and Twinkies are things that you would never find in our house.
What? No junk food? What kind of stuff do I eat when I’m hungry and it’s not quite meal time yet?
In our household we believe in eating healthy snacks. Almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeks, apples, bananas, oranges, kiwi, organic crackers, and dried fruits are some of the healthy snacks that you’ll find in our place. It’s important to eat as much non-processed, low sugar snacks as possible. This will keep you energized and will certainly keep your waistline in balance. If you have kids, which Ayoe & I don’t yet, it’s very important not to feed them sugar-loaded snacks.
I always shake my head when I hear that Nutella is being advertised as a “good” breakfast ingredient for kids… Do yourself a favour and start eating healthy snacks NOW!
