Crispy Cauliflower

We have been very much into Indian food lately and we are in the process of imitating a few recipes that we had in various restaurants.
This one is roasted crispy cauliflower with lots of Indian spices.

The cauliflower goes very well with the spices because it is a little bland by itself, so the heat from the spices peps up the veggie 🙂
It is usually eaten as a side dish with soups, stews, naan bread or rice dishes.

Here it is all by itself and later on we will share some more dishes that it goes together with very well.

1 head of cauliflower, rinsed and cut into bite size pieces
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon Tandoori masala or other Indian spice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Heat the oven to 220 C (425 F).

Mix the oil with all the spices in a bowl. Toss the bite size pieces of cauliflower in the bowl and mix well till everything is coated nicely.

Pour the cauliflower into an oven pan with sides and drizzle over any remaining spice-oil.
Bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes till crispy. Every 10 minutes or so, flip the cauliflowers so they get baked evenly.

Serve with a dollop of sour cream or natural yogurt for dipping and taking some of the heat away 🙂

-Enjoy!
